Blog #10 - Past Classes

Without a doubt, Project #3 did not want to be my friend when it was first announced. Despite having learned what a genre was this semester, the idea of creating three of my own that applied to my second project confused me. Luckily for me, I have been feeling more comfortable with the assignment recently. On Wednesday, when Jessie taught the class, I found her activity to be immensely helpful. The spontaneity of the activity made us think quickly, to determine three project ideas for the topic and genres we were assigned. My brain suddenly connected everything together, and I found it very easy to think of what I could do if I actually had to complete the project that I was assigned during the activity. I was feeling pretty confident about my project after yesterday’s class, but this blog is what really made everything clear for me. Looking at the projects from those that took this class in past semesters, helped give me a lot of ideas for the three different genres I can create. It was also interesting to see how some of the students connected their topic to genres that you normally wouldn’t expect (like nursing and a cartoon comic). I’m now looking forward to this project, and can’t wait to see what I come up with myself.
